Table tennis competition amidst prosecutors' office employees took place today at Specialised Sports School No 13.
The city of Nizhny Novgorod recently played host to an exciting table tennis tournament, with participants from various prosecutor offices across the region showcasing their skills. A total of 85 employees took part in the competition, which was held at the Specialized Children and Youth Sports School of Olympic Reserve No.13.
In the men's tournament, it was Andrei Evdokimov, assistant prosecutor of the Krasnobakovsky district, who emerged victorious. Evdokimov displayed exceptional gameplay throughout the tournament, outwitting opponents with cunning serves, swift counterattacks, and sharp shots. Daniil Yakolev, assistant prosecutor of Nizhny Novgorod, finished in a commendable second place. Vladlen Frolov, assistant prosecutor of the Kstovsky district, claimed third place in the men's tournament.
The women's tournament was equally competitive. Anna Starceva, senior assistant prosecutor of Dzerzhinsk, clinched the top spot, playing with determination and precision. Alexandra Chezhidova, senior prosecutor of the department of legal statistics, information technologies, and information protection, finished a close second. Elena Modina, senior prosecutor of the department of supervision over investigation, inquiry, and operational-search activity, rounded off the podium in third place.
The tournament was played using a best-of-three Olympic system, with the group winners advancing to the final round. The players demonstrated maximum effort during the tournament, leaving with a wealth of positive emotions after the event.
The tournament, which lasted nearly 4 hours, was divided into subgroups for the competition. All competitors displayed sportsmanship and camaraderie throughout the event, making it a memorable experience for everyone involved.
The Prosecutor's Office of the city of Nizhny Novgorod took home the trophy in the men's tournament, adding another feather to their cap.
